Context

Install the VPN client. Download the Cisco AnyConnect VPN for Windows installer. Double-click the InstallAnyConnect.exe file. When a message saying the Cisco AnyConnect client has been installed, click OK. Connect to the Stanford VPN. Launch the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client client. Running AnyConnect Once you have AnyConnect installed on your computer, you can run Cisco AnyConnect from the Start Menu. The VPN address should be pre-populated as vpn.unt.edu (or vpn#.unt.edu - where # is a number). If you are faculty or staff, leave the group as General and Authenticate with your EUID credentials.

  • For two-factor Duo Authentication enter: vpn.mit.edu/duo

Second Password options (Duo)

Duo Authentication users will see a '2nd Password' field. Enter one of the following (listed by recommended method)

  • passcode - If using the DUO Mobile app, tap on the key to display a one-time use code and enter that as the second password.
  • push - Duo will send a push notification to your registered cell phone with the Duo Security mobile app installed
  • push2 - Duo will send a push notification to your _second registered device with the Duo Security mobile app installed_
  • A one time code generated by your hardware token (Yubikey ) or the Duo Security mobile app (the code changes every 60 seconds)
  • sms - Duo will send an SMS to your registered cell phone
  • Phone -Duo will call your registered phone
  • Phone2 -Duo will call your second registered phone

Once you have completed your second authentication method, you will be able to connect to the VPN.
