Macos Catalina Restore Iphone

How to factory reset your iphone using Mac OS Catalina. Reset if forgot passcode or password.FOR IPHONE 7 PLEASE HOLD DOWN THE DOWN VOLUME BUTTON INSTEAD. My Macbook can read my iPhone, but when I go into Finder and click on my phone I get a message saying 'If you are experiencing problems with your iPhone, you can restore its original settings by clicking Restore iPhone.' Before I updated to MacOS Catalina I deleted all of my old backups by accident, so I have no idea what it is trying to.

I am trying to back up my phone on to my computer. I used to be able to do this with no problem until i updated to MacOS Catalina. All of my devices are updated. Before I updated to MacOS Catalina I deleted all of my old backups by accident, so I have no idea what it is trying to restore to. I don't use iCloud either for backups.

I used other apps to get all of the important things off of my phone to see what happens when I do click 'Restore iPhone' but nothing happened. Even though my Mac is seeing my iPhone it won't connect to it. Please help me!! The picture below is what message I am getting in the Finder.
